06/11/2013, Kuching: The majority of low to medium cost houses in Sarawak are owned by Bumiputeras. According to Assistant Minister of Housing Datuk Karim Rahman Hamzah, the Bumiputeras in Sarawak are not inclined to buy luxury houses due to personal choices.
“It is not the cost that matters. Many Bumiputeras can actually afford luxury homes, it is only a matter of preference,” Karim told The Borneo Post yesterday.
